COMMUNITY SERVICES

Milanj Diamonds is proud to support the following charities, organizations, and members of our community. Please contact us if you are interested in our involvement in your charitable cause.

In 2012 Jalil Bami, our president and CEO, paid off $2000 worth of layaways for Christmas and Hanukkah 2012 at several local big-box stores. He paid off layaways that involved toys, so children were the ultimate beneficiaries. Jalil also made a donation to the local charity "Mission Kids" from proceeds of our Grand Re-opening in December.

St. Jude's Childrens’ Hospital - Jalil Bami contributes a monthly donation to St. Jude’s Childrens’ Hospital.

Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation International - In 2010 we were honored to gift diamond earrings to this important cause. We received the following response: "Thank you for your donation in support of the 2010 Hope Ball: 007 License to Cure auction, which took place on June 12th at the Hotel duPont. We were thrilled with the quality of items that were donated for the auction. Your donation of the diamond earrings were very important. Your generosity helps the millions of children and adults who suffer from diabetes and its devastating complications. We are grateful to you because we simply cannot achieve our goals without your support."

The Breaking Ground Organization - Breaking Ground is a non-profit organization that is committed to grassroots action, sustainability, community empowerment, and global awareness. Through networks of friends, families, co-workers, and even perfect strangers, we raise money to support sustainable, community-based, projects in Cameroon.

Mommy's Light - This charity focuses on providing tradition fulfillment services and bereavement education materials to maternally grieving children, teens and their families.

Linda Creed Breast Cancer - The mission of Linda Creed is to fight breast cancer with heart through community-based education and referral, support, advocacy and direct service for those who need us.

Stephen Bradley/Heart Transplant Fund - The money was donated to a fund supporting a heart transplant for a local boy, 10-year-old Stephen Bradley.

Families of Freedom Scholarship Fund - This organization funds Educational scholarships for the children of the victims of 9/11.
